The sun, water, wind, wood and other plant products are all natural resources capable of generating energy thanks to technologies developed by man. Their relatively low impact on the environment makes them energies of the future in the face of the problem of nuclear waste management and greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable energies also represent an opportunity for more than 2 billion isolated people to finally access electricity. These assets, combined with increasingly efficient technologies, promote the development of renewable energies but in a way that is still very uneven depending on the type of resources considered. As energy consumption continues to increase, it nevertheless seems unlikely that renewable energies will replace other energy resources in the near future. It is therefore important that each of us monitors our own energy consumption as closely as possible.
